President’s Message

Tim Rolph, Stampede President

Tim Rolph, Stampede President.

As 2016 draws to a close it is a time to reflect on the past year. While we at the Williams Lake Stampede Association faced some challenges this past year, in typical Cariboo fashion, we pulled together to host a fantastic 90th edition. Thank you to all the people who made 2016 an unforgettable year.

We now are preparing to move on to our 91st edition June 29 – July 2, 2017, this again will be a special year as we celebrate the 150th birthday of our great country, Canada.  We are privileged to not only host a world class rodeo and weekend of celebration, but, to also represent the western heritage that was so important in developing our country.  That pioneer spirit of determination, fortitude, and ambition is still alive in our community today.

The board of the Williams Lake Stampede hopes that you will be able to set aside some time over the July long weekend to enjoy all that the Williams Lake area has to offer, including our Stampede, and immerse yourself in the local hospitality.
To all of our volunteers, sponsors, contestants and user groups, thank you for your continued support and we wish you a Merry Christmas and all the best in 2017.

President, Williams Lake Stampede
