The top 5 high school competitors from each province (BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario) will be vying for the title of ‘Canadian champion’. They will be competing in all of the traditional events; Bareback, Saddle Bronc, Steer Wrestling, Tie Down Roping, Bull Riding, Team Roping and Barrel Racing. As well there is Breakaway Roping, Pole Bending, Goat Tying and both Boy’s & Girls Cutting.

Something for everyone to enjoy; a second opportunity to dust off your western gear and come on down to join the fun. In all there will be about 180-200 competitors, aged 14-20 participating - they are the best in Canada who qualified through regional and then individual provincial finals.

On Saturday morning, there will be a parade through downtown Williams Lake. This is second consecutive year for this event to be held ‘west of the Rockies’, we are the first BC community chosen to host this prestigious event. Please show your support for these young competitors; they are the future of rodeo!
